Carol Mullins is a wife, mother and grandmother. She lives in Western New York with her husband, Bob, who is also involved in ministry. Carol has been studying scripture for over30 years, including 4 years of formal study. She focuses on the history and culture of the Hebrew people. Carol points out that, “When we open the Bible, we’re foreigners. The only way to truly understand some passages is to know about the culture of the Hebrew people. That helps us to understand the meaning more fully. Then it’s easier to apply it to our life.
After all, the point of reading scripture is to apply God’s message to our lives!” Carol goes on to say “Reading God’s Word changes our lives. But some people may never read the bible. There is an old saying that We May Be The Only Bible Some People Read. That’s why I do the biblical story-telling. Someone might hear a bible story that they’ve never read, and it might change their life”. Carol also has a gift for writing music. Her songs tell stories from the bible, and they are entertaining, as well as edifying. She has compiled these songs into three CDs of Musical Meditations on Scripture. The three CDs, “Quiet Whispers”, “Pillars of Stone” and Before Time", are a mix of narrative and song. Each song portrays a bible character and bible story in a unique way, with a message from God’s word. Carol travels to different venues, by invitation, to facilitate retreats and days of reflection. She also teaches scripture, and performs concerts. All of her presentations are an energetic mix of biblical story-telling and music, designed to encourage the listener to develop a closer personal relationship with God. Her motto is, “Open God’s Word And Apply It To Your Life”.
In 1998, Carol Mullins produced her first CD of Musical Meditations on Scripture called "Quiet Whispers". From that CD, invitations came to share the bible stories and music at venues all over Western New York, Within a short time, Carol began facilitating retreats and days of reflection, not only in Western New York, but beyond. Today, Carol travels to present the bible stories and music whenever she is invited. |
